FARMINGTON — Bailey came to the Franklin County Animal Shelter almost a year ago as a stray. She is an extremely friendly cat that has waited patiently for her forever home.
Staff said she loves to play with toy mice, jingley balls and dust bunnies. She is a happy-go-lucky cat and would do well in most households.
Staff said those who are wondering why Baily has been here for so long might want to look around at the other cats neighboring her kennel. At the shelter they have six cats that have been there for almost a year or longer. Some may not be as outgoing as others, but they still have lots of love and affection to give.
Because Bailey and her friends have been at the shelter for so long, they are free for adoption. Staff asks anyone looking for a great cat to visit and check out the long-term cats.
New dogs at the shelter include a black lab mix from New Sharon and a shepherd mix from New Sharon.
The shelter is located at 550 Industry Road. For more information, call 778-2638.
