LISBON — During a schoolwide assembly at Philip W. Sugg Middle School on June 9, Richard Green, interim superintendent of Lisbon schools, announced that Jeff Ramich has been named the new interim principal of the school.
Ramich, a life-long resident of Lisbon and co-curricular director at Lisbon High School since 2000, will replace Green as principal. Ramich attended the three school in Lisbon, graduating from the high school in 1984.
He received a bachelor of science in physical education, health and coaching from the University of Maine Orono in 1989. Ramich was the elementary and high school physical education teacher for SAD 17 in Oxford Hills from 1990 through 1996 and assisted as varsity football, assistant varsity women’s basketball and assistant varsity track and field coach. 
From 1996 through 2000, Ramich taught physical education at Philip W. Sugg and was the assistant varsity football coach, varsity basketball and baseball coach. Ramich lives in Lisbon with his wife, Sandra and children, Kyrstin and Cameron. 
“We are pleased to have Jeff Ramich as our principal of the middle school next year,” said Green. “Jeff’s passion and his pride for the Lisbon community is second to none and he brings with him a keen insight and has the ability to coach students on and off the field,” he said.
