Phyllis C. Doyle
1919 – 2009
GLENDALE, Ariz. — Phyllis Catherine Doyle, 90, passed away at Hospice Family Care in Peoria, Ariz., on Tuesday, June 9, after a brief illness.
She was born to Nathan Alonzo Bartlett and Mary Rose Connelly in Lewiston on Jan. 13, 1919. She married Daniel Stephen Doyle on Aug. 30, 1941. They were married 40 years at the time of his death in 1981 at age 59.
She spent her life as a very devoted and caring wife and mother of seven children. The family moved from Maine to southern California in May 1952, first to Los Angeles then to Fullerton in 1954. In 1966, she and Dan moved to San Jacinto and Hemet, Calif., and eventually she moved to Glendale, Ariz.
She is survived by daughters, Susanne Wedemeyer of Glendale, Ariz., and Mary Bowles of Rogers, Ark.; sons, Brian Doyle of West Hills, Calif., John Doyle of La Habra, Calif., and William Doyle of Corona, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents and husband; her
sisters, Mildred Dumond (California) and Natalie Wade Lewiston; her
son, Daniel Joseph Doyle; and daughter, Kathleen Frances Willett.
