LEWISTON — Cecile Thornton of Lewiston and Jim Thornton of Scarborough are very pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Ann Thornton, to Branden Timothy Boyd, both of San Francisco, Calif. He is the son of Pat and Patti Boyd of Glide, Oregon.
Miss Thornton graduated from Edward Little High School in 1998 and received a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2002. She is employed at Gap, Inc.
Mr. Boyd graduated from Glide High School in 1992 and Willamette University in 1996. He is employed at Visa Inc.
The wedding will take place on Aug. 22 at the Heavenly Mountain Resort in South Lake Tahoe, Calif.
