LEWISTON — The Lewiston Root Cellar will have its second annual chili cook-off from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 25. The cook-off will feature live music, children’s games, and award-winning chili. It will be held in Pierce Street Park, directly behind their 89 Birch St. location.

The fundraiser will go towards supporting programs for inner-city
youth and their families provided by The Lewiston Root Cellar; a non-profit organization.

The organization is still accepting registrations for contestants wishing to enter the contest. Anyone who likes to cook chili or who would like to be a part of the friendly competition that goes to benefit the Root Cellar, can call 782-3659 or e-mail [email protected].
