FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — The New England Patriots have signed defensive lineman Darryl Richard, their seventh-round draft pick.

Richard played at Georgia Tech before he was picked by the Patriots with the second of two seventh-round choices.

Richard was named second-team All-ACC as a senior. He won the prestigious Tatum Award as the top student-athlete among the league’s football players.
