BUCKFIELD — Announcement is made of the engagement of Amy Latham-Rinck and Toby Downing, both of Smithfield.
The future bride is the daughter of Peter Rinck and Laura Davis of Buckfield. She is also the granddaughter of Clarence Latham of Greene and Sally Latham of Readfield. She is a 1999 graduate of Leavitt Area High School in Turner and received a degree in travel and hospitality management from Mid-State College. She is currently a marketing and membership specialist at the Maine State Chamber of Commerce in Augusta.
The future bridegroom is the son of Peter and Diane Downing of Smithfield. He is a 1993 graduate of Skowhegan Area High School and just celebrated 15 years at New Balance, where he is the shipping supervisor at the Skowhegan factory.
The couple is planning an August wedding at Point Lookout in Northport.
