AUBURN — Lewiston-Auburn Community Little Theatre has tapped Robbi Starnegg, King’s Bridge Theatre’s artistic director, to direct a cast of 46 in this summer’s Youth Theatre Project, “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr.”
The enchanting production of Broadway’s modern classic is scheduled for
Aug. 8-9 at the Great Falls Performing Arts Center, 30 Academy St.
Assisting Starnegg are Alison Traynor, choreographer/music director; Chad Gagnon, technical director; Dan Crawford, assistant director; and Michael Weber, stage manager, assisted by Youth Theatre Project assistants Lindsay Carbonneau, Garrett Crawford, Ben Dostie and Jordan Richmond.
Cast members for this musical include Megan Coddington of Auburn as the spirited Belle; Zachary Fisher of Sabattus as the Beast; Drew Masse of Lewiston as the egotistical Gaston; and Yoel Sherwood of Auburn as Gaston’s goofy sidekick, LeFou. Additional roles will be taken on by Yosi Sherwood and Connor Crawford, both of Auburn, as Lumiere and Cogsworth respectively; Sarah Lopez and Amelia Lewis, both of Lewiston, as Mrs. Potts and her son, Chip; and Luka Baskett and Paige Weber, both of Auburn, as Babette and Madame de la Grand Bouche. Other supporting roles include Dante Baskett of Auburn as Belle’s father, Maurice; Gavin Crawford of Auburn as Msr. D’Arque; Elizabeth Cormier of Lewiston, Meredith Crawford and Alexandria Hunt of Auburn as the Silly Girls; and Ally LaVerdiere, Olivia Mayo and Sophia Wood of Auburn and Makayla Malloy of Minot as the Narrators.
