North Main Street demolition project

The scoop: Selectman voted to award the project to Chabot of Auburn.

Demolition disposal

Issue: Currently, commercial demolition disposal at the transfer station is prohibited.

The scoop: The board discussed the current policy regarding authorization for disposal of items at the Transfer Station.

Up next: The Solid Waste Committee will meet and discuss the rules and regulations for the Board of Selectmen to review during their upcoming policy review workshops.

Union and town manager’s contracts

Issue: Both the public works bargaining unit and the town manager’s contracts were up for renewal.

The scoop: The board held executive sessions to review the proposed union and the town manager’s agreements, both for a year. They voted to sign them.

Up next: Each agreement provided no changes to wages or benefits; the board thanked both the bargaining unit and Leavitt for agreeing to those terms.
