Elaine Michaud, a physical education teacher at Mountain Valley Middle School and local vocalist, leads a group of children Monday afternoon in a spirited version of “Hokey-Pokey.” Following her is 10-year-old Kassie Thibodeau of Rumford. Grinning between them is 6-year-old Aaron LaBrash of Rumford. The event is part of Rumford Public Library’s summer reading program which winds up this week.
