The Jesus Party, urban youth outreach of Lewiston, recently hosted two ministries at its weekly inner city gathering. Ray and Bertha Jacqmin from Oasis Ministry presented a message about forgiveness and the power of prayer using clothe dolls that they created to convey a message to the children. The Jacqmins were joined by Shawn Edwards, right, a member of the East Auburn Baptist Church, who ministered in mime and creative storytelling. Edwards told the story about David and Goliath while allowing the children to interact. Any area churches or ministries that would like to minister to inner city children should contact the Jesus Party at 786-5568.
