Janet L. Hennigar
1941 – 2009
FALMOUTH — Janet L. Hennigar, 68, of Falmouth, formerly of South Portland died Saturday, July 25.
She was born March 27, 1941, in Kingfield, the daughter of Dwight E. Lander and Eleanor M. (Dyer) Lander.
She was educated in the schools of Stratton and also took a two year business course at Comptometer and IBM School in Portland. She married Clayton R. Hennigar, March 9, 1963, in Kingfield.
She was employed in South Portland by Sears Roebuck Co. as an auditor for 14 years during the 1970s and 1980s. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, spending time with her granddaughter, and traveling. She traveled to Canada, Hawaii and Florida, several times.
She is survived by her parents, Dwight and Eleanor Lander of Windham; a sister, Sheila Caldwell of Windham; two sons, Chris Hennigar of South Portland and Scott Hennigar and his wife, Lea, and daughter, Brooklyn of Windham; two nieces; three nephews; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Clayton Hennigar.
