RUMFORD — The Police Department responded to 134 complaints from 6 p.m. July 23 to 6 p.m. Aug. 1.

Arrests/summonses

July 25 at 10:30 p.m.: Brian Gardner, 27, of Mexico, was
arrested by Patrolman Lawrence Winson for operating under the
influence. Gardner posted $200 cash bail and is scheduled to appear in
Rumford District Court on Oct. 6.

July 25 at 10:56 p.m.:
Michael Hussey, 33, of Rumford, was arrested by Patrolman K. Scott
Mills on warrants for three counts of gross sexual assault, carrying a
concealed weapon, unlawful possession of a schedule drug, eluding an
officer and operating after suspension. Hussey was unable to post bail
and was transported to Oxford County Jail. Court date unknown.

26 at 12:25 a.m.: Tara Roy, 30, of Mexico, was arrested by Patrolman K.
Scott Mills for violation of conditions of release. Roy wasn’t
permitted to post bail and was transported to Oxford County Jail. Roy
is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Sept. 8.

27 at 9:52 p.m.: Brian Gardner, 27, of Mexico, was arrested by
Patrolman Lawrence Winson for violation of conditions of release.
Gardner wasn’t permitted to post bail and was transported to Oxford
County Jail. Gardner is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court
on Oct. 6.

July 28 at 2:58 a.m.: Greg Gibbons, 22, of Rumford,
was summoned by Patrolman Lawrence Winson on a charge of possession of a
usable amount of marijuana. Gibbons is scheduled to appear in Rumford
District Court on Oct. 6. 

July 29 at 4:02 a.m.: Jeremy
Belskis, 22, of Mexico, was summoned by Patrolman K. Scott Mills on a charge of 
violation of conditions of release. Belskis is scheduled to appear in
Rumford District Court on Sept. 8.

July 29 at 11:40 a.m.:
Terra Tidswell, 34, of Rumford, was arrested by Capt. Daniel
Garbarini for a burglary warrant. Tidswell wasn’t permitted to post
bail and was transported to Oxford County Jail. Court date unknown.

July 29 at 1:55 a.m.: Jennifer Welch, 18, of Mexico was arrested by
Patrolman Lawrence Winson on a charge of violation conditions of
release. She was also summoned on charges of theft and operating after
suspension. She is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on
Sept. 8.

Crash

July 24 at 9:11 p.m.: Arthur Albanesi, 13, of Rumford was riding his
bicycle down Maine Avenue when he was unable to stop at the Waldo
Street intersection reportedly due to poor brakes. He was struck by a
2006 Dodge Caravan driven by Michelle Provencher, 35, of Rumford.
Albanesi was treated at Rumford Hospital for minor injuries. The van
sustained $100 damage.

Criminal mischief

July 25 at 1:27 p.m.: A Maple Street resident reported approximately
$3,500 damage to his window and computer system on his excavator. Case
under investigation.

July 28 at 9:42 a.m.: Mexico resident reported damage to a door on
Waldo Street. No damage amount listed. Case under investigation.

Theft

July 26 at 11:44 a.m.: People reported their backpacks stolen at the
information booth. No further information available. Case under
investigation.

July 27 at 1:56 pm.: Erchles Street resident reported a $40 theft
from his residence. A male juvenile was found in possession
of tobacco and marijuana. Charges are pending.

July 28 at 8:07 p.m.: Hancock Street establishment reported an
attempted theft with the use of a fake $20 bill. Case under
investigation.

Wanted

Arthur Dunphe, 34, of Rumford/Lewiston area, wanted on two warrants for
theft of services and failure to pay fines for operating after
