The 19th Allanach reunion of descendants of Christopher and Eva Allanach was recently held at the Canton Municipal building.

The names of deceased family members were read followed by a moment of silent prayer.

Officers re-elected include President Betty York, Vice President Dana Carlton, and Joyce Carlton as secretary and treasurer.

Door prize was won by Rachel Carlton. Lois Gordon was the senior member and Benson Farrar was the youngest in attendance. Maynard Farrar won the “Wheel of Fortune board”. Earle and Jean Carlton of St. Petersburg, Fla., traveled the most miles. 

The next reunion will be held on June 10, 2010.

A potluck dinner followed the business meeting.

Those attending came from Bangor, Canton, East Sumner, Hartford, Livermore, Livermore Falls, North Jay, Wells, Ocala, Fla., and St. Petersburg, Fla.
