Alta and Andre Giasson
AUBURN — A surprise party was held recently for Andre and Alta Giasson of Auburn on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Party hosts were their children, Michael, Brenda and Pauline, and the event was held at Rolandeau’s Restaurant in Auburn. The couple arrived at the restaurant in a stretch limo where about 60 guests were waiting for them.
They received a digital photo frame with pictures of their life together. Michael Giasson was the toastmaster.
Mr. Giasson and the former Alta Donavan were married June 20, 1959. In addition to their children, their grandchildren are Brie, Ophelia, Quin and Matthew and a great-grandchild, Presley.
Mrs. Giasson worked in various shoe shops, retiring from Falcon Shoe in Lewiston. She is a member of St. Phillip’s Church in Auburn.
Mr. Giasson worked in various shoe shops, the Bates Mill and retired from Bath Iron Works. He is also a member of St. Phillip’s Church.
