AUBURN — The New Auburn Seniors will join the First Auburn Seniors for their annual picnic on Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the Hasty Memorial Armory at Pettingill Park.

The picnic will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Doughnuts, juice and coffee will be served in the morning and hot dogs and hamburgers at noon. The cost is $4 and for members only.

The regular meeting was held on Aug. 5 with President Virginia Levasseur presiding. August birthdays were noted and small gifts were given. Pot of gold winners were Rita Godbout, Joyce Bickford, Loretta Dionne, Alma Morin, Bert Cote and Andrea Metayer. New members welcomed were Rose Derocher, Rose Small, Denise Morin, Colleen Erickson and Raymond Laroche.

The meeting was adjourned and a light luncheon was served. Bingo followed. Open bingo for seniors 60 and over will be Wednesday, Aug. 12 and 26.
