Alfreda M. Sherman

LEWISTON — Alfreda M. Sherman, 81, a resident of Pond Road, Wales, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Marshwood Nursing Home, where she had been a resident since May 7, of this year.
She was born in Richmond, Sept. 6, 1927, the daughter of Lester and Mildred Millett Dearborn. She attended school in the Lewiston school system. On Aug. 2, 1947, in Auburn, she was married to Robert C. Sherman.
She worked for many years in shoe shops in the Lewiston-Auburn area. She enjoyed doing needlework and working in her flower and vegetable gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Robert of Wales; a son, Steven Sherman of Wales; a daughter, Donna Lanctot and her husband, William, of Wales; two grandchildren, Jessica Rac and Tory Lanctot and his wife, Jennie; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, William Stuart and his wife, Pat, of Sabattus.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Harold Dearborn, Alfred Dearborn and Merton Stuart; and a sister, Lorrane Dearborn.
The family would like to sent special thanks to the staff at Marshwood, for the wonderful care they gave Alfreda.
