GREENE — The Androscoggin Junior Grange 185 members are selling raffle tickets for several donated handmade
items including a wooden moose planter, three quilts of assorted sizes
and more. The drawing will be held on Sept. 12 during the Greene
Village Days. The funds raised will help with camperships and other
activities that the children participate in throughout the year.

Members are also collecting tabs from any and all cans to benefit
the Shriner’s. More than 98 pounds of tabs were collected and turned in
last year and members are trying to collect more this year. The
Shriner’s provide free services to children from birth to 18 years of
age. Drop-off points are Landry’s and A&A Hardware in Greene and
Schrepp’s Redemption Center in Turner.

The Junior Grange meets at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of the month, at the Grange Hall, 99 Main St. All children from the ages of 5 to 13 1/2 years are welcome to join.
