Lorraine R. McDonald Bergeron
1931 – 2009

LEWISTON – Lorraine R. Bergeron, 77, of Lewiston, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 15, at Ouellette’s Adult Foster Care in Lewiston, after a long illness.

Born in Lewiston on Aug. 25, 1931, she was the daughter of John P. McDonald Sr. and Dorothy A. (Spencer) McDonald, both of Lewiston. She was the wife of Frank J. Bergeron of Auburn. Lorraine was a graduate of Lewiston High School and worked for many years as an aide at the Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion until she retired.

She was a devout Catholic, a member of the Secular Order of Franciscans, and loved her family. She also loved to travel, and was able to visit the Holy Land after her retirement.

Lorraine is survived by a daughter, Kathleen G. Madore of Oquossoc; a son, Michael P. Grey of Oquossoc; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Frank; and her loving brothers, John P. McDonald Jr. and William E. McDonald.

The family wishes to thank Ronald Ouellette and his staff for the loving care given to Lorraine during her last years.
