GRAY, Maine (AP) – An air quality alert has been issued for much of coastal Maine and part of New Hampshire because of high levels of ozone.

The Maine alert covers much of the coastline from Kittery to Bar Harbor. It is in effect until late Monday night.

The New Hampshire alert covers Rockingham County, especially in coastal areas. It is in effect through Tuesday.

People are being advised to limit their outdoor activities.
