Etta Mae J. Korhonen
1920 – 2009
AUBURN — Etta Mae J. Korhonen, 88, of South Paris died Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Hospice House.
She was born in Norway, Aug. 23, 1920, to John Prescott Judkins and Rosetta R. Twitchell.
She was a homemaker and helped her husband Matti in his real estate business.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church of South Paris and the American Finnish Society. She also liked spending time at her camp on McWain Pond.
She was married to Matti Hjalmari Korhonen for 68 years, who predeceased her on May 26.
She is survived by a daughter, Koriene Low and husband, Geoffrey, of South Paris; four grandchildren, Robert Korhonen of Portland, Elisha Allman of Lewiston, Geoffrey Ellis Low of Dixfield and Justin Howard of Portland; and four great-grandchildren, Theo, Aidan, Trevor and Tyler.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Hospice House in Auburn for their kind and compassionate care given to Mrs. Korhonen.
