Women’s lunch

PARIS — A Christian Women United lunch will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the First Congregational Church of South Paris. Cost is $6.50. Ginny Monica of Buckfield will present a musical program. For reservations, call Janice at 743-5770.

 Tables available

PARIS — There are openings for five more tables at the Western Maine Veterans’ Home craft fair to be held Saturday, Aug. 8, on High Street, South Paris. Cost is $5. They also have openings for a craft fair on Oct. 17 at the American Legion Post, Church Street, South Paris. Tables are $10 each.

 Craft programs

WOODSTOCK — The Whitman Memorial Library will continue summer craft programs for all ages from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesdays, July 22, 29 and Aug. 3. A barometer will be made Wednesday, July 22. Those attending should bring a wide-mouth jar; other materials will be provided. For more information, call 665-2788.

 Quilt contest

OXFORD — The Oxford Fair will include a baby quilt contest this fall. The quilts will be judged and displayed during the week of the fair, Sept. 13 to 19. Prize money will be awarded to the top five. The quilts will be donated to the nursery at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
