LEWISTON — Acting City Administrator Phil Nadeau will take extra vacation days instead of a 10 percent pay hike while he fills the top job.
City Councilor Robert Reed said the city will give Nadeau an additional three days of vacation for each month he serves as acting administrator, according to a new six-month contract approved by councilors Tuesday.
“He will receive no increase in compensation from the city during this time,” Reed said.
The contract also includes stipends for Nadeau’s car, his telephone and home Internet during the search for a permanent replacement.
Nadeau has said he will seek the permanent position.
