Art festival

CARRABASSETT  VALLEY —
Carrabassett Valley, surrounded by the Bigelow Mountain Range, will be the setting for z festival of art and culture on Saturday, Aug. 15. Activities will take place from noon to 5 p.m. at the airport and next to it.

Events will consist of an art show, arts and crafts for sale, a fairy house village exhibit, airplane rides, a radio control demonstration,wagon rides with draft horses, a bounce house for children, music and food and beverages provided throughout the day.

Featured musicians will include the Jerks of Grass, Jay McClure and Jason Mancine.

Society speaker

NEW VINEYARD — David D. Horn will highlight the meeting of the New Vineyard Historical Society at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, speaking on “Early New Vineyard.” The public is invited. Refreshments will be served. The society meets in its room in the town office and library building.

 Family reunion

EAST WILTON — The Howland and Searles reunion will be held Sunday, Aug. 23, at the East Wilton Grange Hall. Family members are asked to bring an item for the auction and a donation for the dinner. All family members are welcome.
