1949 – 2009
NORWAY — Herbert A. May Sr., 60, of Oxford died Monday, Aug. 17, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Sanford, on April 1, 1949, the son of Grover and Dorothy Gordon May.
He had worked for a long-time as a poultry worker for Hillcrest Poultry Farms.
He enjoyed fishing, camping and liked to play jokes on everyone.
He married the former Lydia Curtis.
He is survived by his wife, Lydia of Oxford; two daughters, Kathy Hunt of South Paris and Tina Rose of Greene; a son, Herbert May Jr.; a sister, Judy Daggett of Augusta; a brother, Ralph May of Lisbon; 10 grandchildren and expecting another soon.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Bobby, Grover Jr. and Clayton.
