PARIS — The Paris Public Library’s Green Thumbs summer program, for children ages 9 to 13, will meet at the Twitchell Observatory at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14. The program, led by Rick Chase, will allow the participants to view planets, stars, nebulae and galaxies through the observatory’s giant telescope.
The special evening program will last about two hours. The observatory is located on the Hooper Ledge Road. South Paris.
The program is free and open to any youths in the community. Preregistration is requested.
