SUMNER — Damage from an apparent tornado traveling northeast onto Hedgehog Hill Road on Friday was evident Saturday morning.

A recently renovated cabin suffered roof damage and the front picture windows were blown out. The yard was littered with downed trees.

Selectman Mark Silber who owns the rental and lives on the road suffered no damage to his home.

Huge equipment was brought in to clear Bonney Road which was still closed to traffic Saturday night due to downed lines and trees. Sumner and Canton volunteer fire departments cleared trees while Buckfield and Canton volunteers blocked traffic on the road.

Route 140 was blocked most of Saturday while trees were removed and power lines were fixed.
