TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona Cardinals second-round draft pick Cody Brown is out for the season with a dislocated left wrist.

The linebacker from Connecticut, the 63rd overall pick, was injured in the Cardinals’ 17-6 preseason loss to the San Diego Chargers on Saturday night.

Coach Ken Whisenhunt says the wrist has been put back into place but will require surgery to repair ligament damage once the swelling goes down.

On a positive note, Arizona’s first-round draft pick, Beanie Wells, had his best workout Monday since spraining his left ankle in his first training camp practice.
