The first meeting of the Androscoggin Retired Educators’ Association for the 2009-2010 year will be held at the High Street Congregational Church in Auburn on Wednesday, September 9, at 10:30 a.m.
The guest speaker will be Kerry Irish from the Patrick Dempsey Cancer Center at Central Maine Medical Center. This year our featured speaker will speak before lunch and there will be no program after lunch.
The ladies of the church will prepare a delicious lunch of sliced ham, macaroni and cheese, sliced veggies, and homemade pies. For dietary reasons, sliced turkey may be substituted for ham. The cost of lunch is $9.00
Membership dues are payable for the year in September and may be included with your payment for the meal. Dues are $10.00 for retired educators and $6.00 for your spouse.
All retired educators and spouses are welcome to attend AREA meetings. This is a chance to meet other retired educators and to hear what is happening at the state and national level. Meetings are held five times a year: September, October, November, March and April.
Reservations must be made on or before Friday, September 4. Please send your reservation and dues to: Bruce and Beth Bell, 138 Sunderland Drive, Auburn, ME 04210. Please indicate if you would like to have turkey rather than ham.
