FOXBOROUGH, Massachusetts (AP) — Zimbabwe forward Kheli Dube scored a hat trick to give the New England Revolution a 3-1 win over Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer on Sunday.

Dube scored his first goal in the ninth minute, when he converted a low cross from midfielder Mauricio Castro. He followed 20 minutes later when he knocked in a rebound after Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando made a diving save on a Michael Videira attempt.

Dube, a finalist for MLS Rookie of the Year after scoring four goals last year, completed the first hat trick of his career in the 67th minute when he flicked a cross from Shalrie Joseph into the back of the net.

Salt Lake got a goal with five minutes to play when forward Pablo Campos’ header in front of the net ricocheted off defender Darrius Barnes’ shin and past goalkeeper Matt Reis.
