Marguerite E. Connor

1918 – 2009

BRUNSWICK- Marguerite E. Connor, 91, of Brunswick, formerly of Hallowell, died Saturday, Aug. 29, at Mid Coast Hospital.

She was born in Turner, on Aug. 14, 1918, the daughter of Chester and Beatrice (Allen) Harlow. She graduated from Edward Little High School in 1936, then worked for a time as a bookkeeper. Marguerite married Fred W. Connor Jr. in January 1942. Fred went on to serve as a U.S. Marine Corps officer for 30 years.

Marguerite and Fred enjoyed camping and traveling together and were members of both the Capitol Area Wheels and the Good Sam Club. They also enjoyed family gatherings.

She was predeceased by Fred; her son, James Connor; and two sisters, Louise Harlow and Edith Arnold.

She is survived by her son, Donald Connor and his wife, Sara, of Brunswick; her daughter-in-law, Joan Connor, of Litchfield; her grandchildren, Benjamin, Adam, and Erin Connor; and several nieces and nephews.
