OXFORD — The Child Health Center, 16 Madison Ave., recently opened its doors to the community in celebration of children and those who make a difference in their lives.
Each year Week of the Young Child is celebrated across the country as part of a national campaign. This is the second year that child care staff have extended the recognition in honor of children and care providers in the Oxford Hills community.
This year’s event was called Tons of Trucks and More. Businesses were invited to visit the center, meet parents and children to share activities.
The outside grounds were a buzz with Oxford firefighters who brought a truck and an Oxford police officer who had his vehicle. A plow truck was there as well. The Masons made child identification kits for families.
