Anita P. Beaule, R.N.
1923 – 2009
LEWISTON – Anita P. Beaule, R.N., 85, of 62 Chipmunk Lane, Monmouth, and Montello Heights, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion where she resided for the past two years.
Born in Lewiston on Nov. 15, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Arthur & Emma Lafrenier Poirier. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1941 and then attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing, graduating in 1944.
Mrs. Beaule was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at Our Lady of The Rosary Church and Holy Family Church and was married to Lionel Beaule on May 14, 1949. He died Feb. 17, 2003.
Mrs. Beaule was a registered nurse and worked at St. Mary’s Hospital for 30 years prior to her retirement in 1988.
She was also a member of Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW of Auburn, Tacoma Lake Quilters, Sabattus Senior Citizens, Jacques Cartier Club, and Pinetree Quilters Guild.
She enjoyed quilting, camping, fishing going for rides in the Moosehead Regions.
She is survived by two daughters, Ellen Laroche and companion, Bruce Clark, of Clinton, and Jane Davis and husband, James Davis Sr., of Bowdoin; her son, Donald Beaule, and his wife, Gail, of Sabattus; nine grandchildren, Heather Chapman and husband, William, Renee Gomez, Jennifer Hemenway and husband, Christian, Tyrone Laroche, Allyson Beaule, Crystal Cloutier and companion, Jeffrey Perkins, James Davis Jr., Pauline Cloutier and Elizabeth Davis.
She was predeceased by a brother Rudolphe Poirier.
The family thanks the staff at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion, her caregiver Trudy and the staff at Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
