CHICAGO (AP) — Boston Red Sox right-hander Daisuke Matsuzaka is scheduled to make a rehab appearance with Class A Salem or Class A Greenville on Wednesday.
Matsuzaka, an 18-game winner last season, has been on the disabled list since June 21 with a right shoulder strain. He allowed a pair of solo homers in 4 1-3 innings during a rehab start for Triple-A Pawtucket on Friday.
Matsuzaka is 1-5 with an 8.23 ERA in eight starts for the Red Sox, who faced the White Sox in Chicago on Sunday.
