AUBURN – Steven Giorgetti slipped in three goals and Edward Little quickly built a 4-1 lead by the end of the first half as the Red Eddies (2-0) torpedoed the Morse Shipbuilders with a 5-2 victory in a boys’ soccer game Tuesday.

EL’s Nate Blais and Brandon Lever delivered the other two goals. Lever, Jared Pelletier and J.J. Jackson each collected assists.

Morse’s Christian Haywood and Ryan Talbot each scored an unassisted goals. The Eddies outshot the Shipbuilders, 19-11, and EL goalie Ian-Dolen Oliveto made seven saves.  

Erskine 1, Lewiston 0

SOUTH CHINA – Matt Atwood headed the ball into the net on a quick play after a free kick for the game’s only goal in Erskine’s 1-0 victory over Lewiston on Tuesday.

On a free kick five yards outside the box, Travis Lee punched the ball into the area, and Atwood was there to head the ball home.

Lewiston (1-1) had numerous scoring chances, but Erskine goalie Zach Busmanis played a strong game controling the ball when it was in the air.

Chris Jacques finished with nine saves for the Blue Devils, while Busmanis had 11 saves for Erskine (2-0).

Mt. Abram 3, Liv. Falls 1

LIVERMORE FALLS – Devon Littlefield led a trio of players to record goals, as Mt. Abram rolled to a 3-1 victory over Livermore Falls in a MVC boys’ soccer matchup Tuesday.

Jim Barker and Kenny Moir also tallied first-half goals for the Roadrunners (1-1), making it a 3-0 contest at the half.

Kyle Whittemore gave the Andies (0-2) a glimmer of hope when he scored with 32 seconds left in regulation.

Veteran goalkeeper Willy Brown was injured during the first half, with Jake Freeman handling the net for the duration. The two combined for 16 saves on the day.

St. Dom’s 3, Hall-Dale 0

AUBURN – Jackson Erickson netted a pair of goals Tuesday as St. Dom’s hustled to a 3-0 romp over Hall-Dale.

Alex Parker also tallied for the Saints (2-0) to complete the scoring. Curt Johnson also contributed with an assist for St. Dom’s.

Nick Brigham held steady in net for the Saints, finishing with seven saves to preserve the shutout.

Lisbon 8, Winthrop 0

LISBON – Marcus Bubar netted four goals and added an assist as Lisbon raced to an 8-0 rout over Winthrop.

Tyler Dupal chipped in for the Greyhounds (2-0) with two goals, while single tallies from Morgan Reeves and George Clement completed the scoring. Ethan Audi needed only seven saves to notch the shutout. Cody Maitland turned aside 15 shots between the posts for the Ramblers (0-2). 

Gray-NG 5, NYA 0

GRAY – Jack Martel led a group of five players to register goals as Gray-New Gloucester coasted to a 5-0 win over North Yarmouth Academy.

Sam Liberty, Ian Martel, Kolby Arnold and Erik Schrader also scored for the Patriots.

Evan Kenney needed only seven saves to record the shutout.

Gray-New Gloucester jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first half.
