Fortier Chapter
LEWISTON — The Dr. Paul Fortier Chapter 52 of the Association Canado-Americaine will gather at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, in the Senior Citizens Room of the Multi-Purpose Center.
On the agenda for the group’s monthly meeting will be a discussion of the ACA’s new affiliation with the Royal Arcanum fraternal benefit society.
Members will be invited to stay for refreshments and socializing following the meeting. More information is available by contacting chapter president Dolores Poirier at 782-8109.
Marine Corps League
LEWISTON — The Marine Corps League Central Maine Detachment will host
the Marine Corps League Department of Maine at 11
a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at the Heritage Center on Cedar Street. A growl will be held
followed by a dinner. The meeting will start at 2 p.m. where business
will be discussed involving all the detachments. Each detachment will
be requested to give their reports on their activities and on military funerals they have attended.
Lodge degree
AUBURN — Ashlar Lodge 105, AF and AM, will work the Masonic First Degree on Monday, Sept. 14, at the Masonic Temple, 1021 Turner St. There will be a supper at 6:30 p.m. and the work of the evening will commence at 7:30 p.m. All Masons are welcome to attend. GREENE — Tommy’s Feral Feline Friends, a nonprofit organization, is in need of blue
spruce or fir boughs and limbs to be used for winter shelters for feral cats.

POLAND — Evangelist Clarence Hagelin will preach at Liberty Baptist
Church, Dunn Road in East Poland. Don and Carol Merritt will provide
music. Services will be held at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13 and at
