PARIS — The Maine Veterans’ Home, 477 High St., South Paris, will host a POW/MIA program at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, in the facility. Joel Dutton, administrator, will serve as Master of Ceremonies.

The posting of the colors will be executed by Mechanic Falls Post 150, American Legion. Joseph Cooney, Western Maine Veterans’ Advisory Committee chairman, will lead the Pledge of Allegiance and the Rev. Melvin Young will give the invocation.

Hugh Daley, sergeant-at-arms, Dixfield Post 100, American Legion, will do the traditional “Setting of the Table” ceremony and explain the history. It will be followed by a reading of the names of each POW/MIA in the state by Gil Turner, chaplain, South Paris Post 72, American Legion.

Frank Johnston will lead the group in his rendition of the National Anthem and close with “God Bless America.”

Refreshments will be served and tours of the facility will be available. The public is invited.
