LEWISTON — Registration is now open for Museum L-A’s first program of the 2009-10 school year to be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15. Since brickmaking is the theme of the Museum’s new exhibit, participants will tour the redesigned gallery to see how bricks are made, then play “Guess Who Can Move the Most Bricks!” The activity involves predicting and estimating, as well as several means of moving bricks. Brains and some muscle will be put to work.

Children age 7 and older are encouraged to register by Monday, Sept. 14; a fee of $4 each person will be collected that afternoon.
While viewing the new exhibit “Portraits and Voices: Brickyard Roads” the children will learn about the old method of making bricks and the new method using robotics.

Museum L-A is located at 35 Canal St. in the Bates Mill Complex at the corner of Canal and Chestnut streets. For more information, call the Museum at 333-3881.
