Saddleback will hold its fifth annual fall festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20. Highlights include a barbecue; an art show and sale hosted by the Rangeley Friends of the Arts; Maine crafters and their wood-fired pottery, handmade quilts and jewelry; a pie eating contest; and events for children, including alpacas from a local farm. Music will be provided by Jimmy Austin on the deck from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will also be chain saw woodcarving by Rodney Richard, aka The Mad Whittler, and a raffle at 1 p.m. In addition, Healthy Community Coalition and Rangeley Family Medicine will offer free clinical breast exams and free bone density screenings.
