PARIS – Collin Tucker took a cross from Andrew Kenniston and scored the winning goal 6 minutes and eight seconds into the second half, as Oxford Hills hung on for a 1-0 victory over Cony in a Class A boys’ soccer game Saturday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half and four shots that bounced off the Cony post, the Vikings (1-2) got their first win of the season when Tucker slipped in the winning goal.

The Vikings outshot the Rams, 18-4, and goalie Matt McVetty held onto his shutout by making four saves.

Telstar 5, Jay 1

BETHEL – Tyler Brown punched in four goals, three in the first half, and Casey Thornton topped off Telstar’s scoring with his goal, as the Rebels ripped Jay with a 5-1 victory in a boys’ soccer game Saturday.

The Tigers (0-3) put the Rebels (2-2) on hold for the second half, but the damage already done by Telstar’s Brown. Thornton also had two assists and teammates Ethan Morin, Nick Mills and Katie Blaszczak each earned an assist.

Jay’s Cameron Rose scored on a Jake Roy feed in the second half to spoil Telstar’s shutout. The Rebels outshout Jay, 17-5, and held the advantage in corner kicks, 8-0.

 Buckfield 2, Greenville 1, OT

GREENVILLE – Aaron Dewitt scored off a Cam Allern corner kick 30 seconds into overtime to lead Buckfield to a 2-1 victory over Greenville.

The Lakers (0-3) had taken a 1-0 halftime lead on a goal by Tony Diangelo, but Dustin Damon tied the game for Buckfield (2-0) in the second half.

Nathan Corson made 10 saves for the Bucks, while Alex Jardine was credited with 19 saves.
