SACO — Samantha Clark of Lewiston, a freshman at Lewiston High School, was crowned a title holder in the Miss Maine Day Pageant held on Aug. 30 at the Hampton Inn.

The program is designed for young ladies wishing to compete for prizes, scholarships and titles in different age groups.

Miss Maine Day supports a venue to assist the ladies in poise, grace, community service and talent. It is an extension of the Maine’s Outstanding Teen and Pine Tree Princess programs and is a fundraiser for the Miss Maine (America) program, a nonprofit scholarship organization that makes available more than 45 million dollars annually to it’s participants.
