BATH – Tim Mains netted a pair of first-half goals Tuesday as Edward Little rolled over Morse 6-0 in a KVAC boys’ soccer matchup.

Stephen Gorgetti, Brandon Lever, Jared Pelletier and J.J. Jackson also tallied for the Red Eddies (5-1-2) to complete the scoring. Ian Dollen-Oliveto made five saves to notch the shutout.

Freshman goalie Grady Madden made a strong effort in net for the Shipbuilders (1-7), turning back 12 shots fired in his direction.  
Brunswick 2, Oxf. Hills 1

PARIS – Zach McMullen headed the ball into the net 52 seconds into the second overtime to help Brunswick escape with a 2-1 boys’ soccer victory over Oxford Hills.

McMullen, who played in goal until the second overtime, headed in the game-winner after an Oxford Hills defender tried to head the ball away from the goal.

Andrew Kenniston scored for the Vikings (1-7) with 31:44 remaining in the second half to force overtime. Kenniston scored on a header on a pass from Derek Morin. Evan Turmenne scored the only goal of the first half for the Dragons.

Matt McVety made 16 saves for Oxford Hills. McMullen and Peter Moreau combined for 18 saves for Brunswick.

Livermore Falls 5, Winthrop 0

LIVERMORE FALLS – Livermore Falls exploded for five goals in the second half as the Andies shutout Winthrop 5-0 in MVC boys’ soccer.

Khyle Whittemore recorded two goals and two assists for Andies (4-3-1). Brown performed keeper duties in addition to making a pair of goals. He turned back five shots, while keeper Jake Freeman prevented one for Livermore Falls in the winning effort.

James McLamb rounded out the scoring with a single tally for Livermore Falls.

Buckfield 5, Rangeley 1

BUCKFIELD – Aaron DeWitt scored a hat trick as Buckfield cruised to a 5-1 victory over Rangeley in EWC boys’ soccer action Tuesday.

The Bucks (5-2) stepped up the pace in the second half, scoring all five tallies in the frame. Austin Dooley and Dustin Damon chipped in with a goal apiece.

Spencer Johnson converted a feed from Jacob Stnends for the lone Lakers’ (2-5-2) goal.

Goalie Zack Abbott made 12 saves for Rangeley, while goalie Nathan Corson prevented 14 in the winning effort for Buckfield.

St. Dom’s 6, Telstar 1

AUBURN – Jackson Erickson scored two goals and earned two assists, and Garrett Darnell also slipped in a pair of goals, as St. Dom’s toppled Telstar with a 6-1 victory in a boys’ soccer game Tuesday.

The undefeated Saints (8-0) scored three unanswered goals in the first half and then added another three in the second half. The Saints’ Alex Parker and Josh Charest each scored a goal and Trevor Hafele earned an assist.

For the Rebels (3-4-1), Tyler Brown spoiled St. Dom’s would-be shutout with an unassisted goal in the second half. The Saints outshot the Rebels, 22-3, and St. Dom’s goalie Nick Brigham made three saves.

Dirigo 3, Wiscasset 2

DIXFIELD – Taylor Gates scored twice in the first half to spark unbeaten Dirigo to a 3-2 boys’ soccer victory over Wiscasset.

The Cougars (8-0) built a 2-0 lead by halftime when Gates beat the Wiscasset goalie twice one-on-one. Eric Bolduc assisted on both goals.

Cody Griffin scored the first his of two goals early in the second half, but Cliff Turner scored on a richochet off the crossbar for the eventual game-winner.

Caleb Turner had six saves for Dirigo, while Mason Brewer stopped six shots for the Redskins (5-2-1).
