JAY — Eight applications had been received as of Tuesday afternoon for the Jay High School principal position.
The deadline for applications to be submitted is 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1.
Currently Superintendent Robert Wall and Middle School Principal Scott Albert are sharing the principal duties following high school Principal Joe Moore’s resignation on Aug. 21.
Moore has taken a position at South Portland High School.
Once the applications are in, Wall said, they will be screened and it will be decided who will be interviewed.
A principal search committee made up of staff, community members and students will conduct the interviews.
