Empower Lewiston awarded Outsource Works $25,000 in its most recent
round of community grants. Outsource Works is located in the Hill Mill
at 41 Canal St., Lewiston, and as a social enterprise provides a
flexible employment environment and on-the-job training for many
residents of the downtown enterprise community. Outsource Works’ goal
is to help people become self-reliant through meaningful work in a job
that pays minimum wage or more. Employees develop skills and workforce
experience in
shrink-wrapping, heat sealing, light assembly, packaging, warehousing,
