BETHEL — AudioBody, the dynamic pairing of brothers Matt and Jason Tardy of Buckfield, will present the final show of its 2009 Northeast Bank Tour on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Gould Academy.

AudioBody has performed several shows in Maine as part of the tour, including concerts at the Portland Performing Arts Center, the Orion Performing Arts Center in Topsham and Great Falls Performing Arts Center in Auburn. Each show grew in audience size and entertainment.

“The tour has been amazing, and we just hope this last show of the Northeast Bank Tour is going to be even crazier and more fun for us and our audience,” said Jason Tardy of AudioBody.

“For this last concert, we will be debuting some brand new, top-secret material as well as adding a live drummer, guitarist and DJ. It is going to be the biggest AudioBody show yet.”

AudioBody has dubbed its show “Comedic Electronica,” which means its part comedy and part live music that is played in creative, humorous and unexpected ways. This includes wearing electronic jumpsuits and drumming on a chrome spine of electro-drums.

The show is a mix of crazy physical comedy, contortionism, live music, relentless sarcastic wit and high-energy stunts. They also perform LED light shows and create animated sound waves across the stage using black-light effects.

“AudioBody provides a unique and exciting experience for the public, bringing music alive with their ‘Blue Man Group meets the Smothers Brothers’ show,” said Chris Delamater, vice president of marketing for Northeast Bank. “Their electronic jumpsuits, drum triggers and other crazy antics create lots of laughs and genuine entertainment for everyone in the crowd.”

The Tardy siblings started AudioBody in 2004 and have since released two albums, “Sound Motion and Theater” in 2004 and “Do Something Difficult” in 2007. During their 15-plus years of performing arts experience, the bothers have entertained audiences worldwide.
