NEW GLOUCESTER — The New Gloucester Community Fair Committee has expanded this year’s fair from a one-day to a two-day event.

Activities will be held on Bald Hill Road from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17; and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18.
More staged events are planned, including a variety of musical performances. Also new will be a bike giveaway. Every hour, a new 20-inch bike and safety helmet will be given to children 12 and under.

One of the largest car shows in Maine will take place Saturday, Oct. 17, and the night will conclude with fireworks.

There will be a parade on Sunday, along with an early pancake breakfast put on by the Boy Scouts. There will be miniature car races, and a vintage-style baseball game is planned. Many children’s activities, including tractor barrel rides, will be offered.

Admission and parking are free. For more information, contact George Carman or Michael Bardier at 926-4126, extension 7, or e-mail newgloucestercommunityfair@yahoo.com.
