Roch M. Trepanier
1931 – 2009
AUBURN — Roch M. Trepenier, 78, of Sawyer Road, Greene, passed away early Wednesday, Oct. 7, peacefully in his sleep at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in St. Sebastien, Quebec, Canada, Sept. 13, 1931, a son of the late Gedeon and Yvonne (Cote) Trepanier. He married the love of his life, Jeanne D’arc Rancourt on Sept. 5, 1953.
He was a handsewer for several years, before finding enjoyment working as a heavy equipment operator for various companies and learning many specialized operator skills. He worked for the U.S. Naval Air Station in Brunswick, Phoenix Urban in New York, Seward Construction Co. in Kittery, F.T.I. in Lewiston and he was the owner and operator of Trepanier Logging Co. in Greene.
He loved the outdoors especially boating, hunting and fishing. He was also especially fond of time spent with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne D’arc; daughters, Jane Trepanier Belanger, Diane Trepanier LaBerge, Ann Trepanier, Linda Trepanier Cassidy and Carol Trepanier Cassidy; sons, David Trepanier and Ronald Trepanier; sisters, Therese Trepanier, Rolande Pelletier, Jacqueline Whirly and Sollange Bouthot; brothers, Mike Trepanier and Jean Trepanier; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers; two sisters; and a beloved granddaughter, Rochelle Belanger in 1996.
