AUBURN — Classic cars of all ages along with welding and metalwork skills will be on display at the fourth Annual New England School of Metalwork Car Show and Welding Demonstrations on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Maine Oxy, 22 Albiston Way (formerly Adams Street).

Classic car registration for the show will be $5 and begin at 7 a.m. Gates will be open to the public at 7:30 a.m., with free admission and music and refreshments throughout the day. Festivities will wind down
after the presentation of trophies for winning autos in several
categories at 1 p.m.

Trophies will be awarded for best classic cars from the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and more recent models. There will be prizes for best paint, best interior, best truck, best Ford, best Chevy, best import, best work in progress, best street rod and best in show will award first and second place finishers.

From 9 a.m. to noon there will be demonstrations of welding, plasma cutting and metalwork skills and equipment at the New England School of Metalwork on the same grounds, along with the Mobile Weld Training Center, a welding school on wheels operated by the school.

The event will be held rain or shine and all vehicle makes and models are welcome.

All proceeds and donations from the car show will be contributed to Pine Tree Society, serving children and adults with disabilities in Maine.
