LEWISTON — Trinity Jubilee Center will hold a diaper drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Hannaford Supermarket, Sabattus Street.
The Jubilee Center, a nonprofit organization, is a multi-service agency dedicated to advocacy for those in need in the Lewiston area. In the past year the center has served more than 35,000 plates of food and has assisted more than 3,000 local families with basic needs and referrals. As part of its weekly food pantry, the center has also distributed more than 45,000 diapers in the last year.
Three other diaper drives to benefit the Jubilee Center, hosted by Jubilee Center staff and the morning crew of country radio station 99.9 the Wolf, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at Hannaford in Gorham; Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Hannaford in Windham; Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Forest Avenue Hannaford.
All diaper sizes are needed, with an urgent need for sizes four, five and six. Donations for diapers may also be made to the Trinity Jubilee Center Diaper Drive, 247 Bates Street, Lewiston, ME 04240.
