Society meeting

SOUTH PARIS — The last regular meeting of the Paris Cape Historical Society for 2009 will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at the society’s home, 77 High St. The Nov.-Dec. meeting will be held at King’s Hill Inn, King Hill Road and will include a potluck supper. The date and time will be announced.

After a business meeting, Lynn Cummings-Pike will speak on her recent visit to Washington, D.C. to attend the annual convention of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The public is invited and the museum is handicapped accessible. Following the meeting, refreshments will be served. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and share experiences.

Fish and game

NORWAY — The Norway-Paris Fish and Game Association met Sept. 17 at the Norway Town Office Building, Danforth Street. The winners of the annual 100 Boosters Club fundraiser were drawn. The winners were: $25 winners, Peg Turner, Dick Toothacker, Matt Jones, Randy Henley, Jennifer Colvurn and Jane Jones; $50 winner, Eric Adams; $100 winner, Carol Flanders; $200 winner, Sylvia Bosse.

The club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month at the Norway Town Office Building, for a potluck supper followed by a business meeting. The meeting on Oct. 15 will honor the fall shoot winners with trophies and prizes as well as the winners of the members only fishing contest. All are welcome.

Snowmobilers

ROXBURY — The Slippery Slides Snowmobile Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the home of SylviaTouchette.
